Clinic Aide - Full Time⬇️

Norton County Hospital has a full-time position available for an Aide in the Norton Medical Clinic. Primary responsibilities include assisting providers, collecting vital statistics and reason for patient visit, and maintaining the electronic medical record for patients. Normal schedule is Monday-Friday during Clinic hours. Prefer previous aide experience, CNA or Certified Medical Assistant.

Surgery Scrub Tech & Central Sterilizing - Full Time⬇️

Norton County Hospital has a full time employment opportunity for a Scrub Tech & Central Sterilizing. On-the-job training is available for this position, certification preferred but not required.

Primary responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Assisting with pre-operative cleaning of surgery equipment
  • Assisting surgeon with prepping patient
  • Assist during surgical procedures, post-op dressings and prepare for recovery room
  • Prepares surgical specimen for laboratory, and post-op disinfection
  • Assisting with cleaning and preparing operating room between patients
  • Responsible for cleaning of all surgical areas
  • Restocking surgical supplies, and maintaining clean work area
  • Responsible for sterilizing and packaging supplies used in the hospital and clinic

Phlebotomist/Lab Assistant⬇️

Norton County Hospital has a full-time employment opportunity for a Phlebotomist-Lab Assistant in our Laboratory Department. Applicant with phlebotomy experience and phlebotomy certification preferred. Applicant must be organized, detail oriented, have excellent communication, customer service and computer skills, and be able to multi-task. Position schedule is 40 hours Monday through Friday. Must have high school diploma or equivalent.

Primary responsibilities include but limited to:

  • Obtains blood specimens and other sample collections
  • Verifies patients' identification and that paperwork is in order
  • Maintains specimen integrity by using aseptic techniques, following department procedure, observing isolation procedures
  • Phone calls, faxes and clerical tasks for the department

This is an excellent opportunity to work in a progressive, rural hospital that offers acute, skilled and intermediate levels of patient care. This position also does patient registration for ER visits after business hours. Full time positions include a rotating weekend and holiday schedule. Acute care shifts are 12-hours shifts.

Laboratory Tech (MT or MLT) — Full Time, Part Time or PRN⬇️

Norton County Hospital has a full-time, part-time or PRN employment opportunity for a Lab Tech in our Laboratory department. Applicant should be an MT, MLS or MLT with an ASCP certification or eligible for certification. New graduates are encouraged to apply. Occupational Therapist — Part Time or Full Time⬇️

Norton County Hospital has an immediate opening for an Occupational Therapist in our Rehabilitation department. Contact Human Resources for hiring incentives. Applicant must be a graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program and have current or obtain Kansas licensure prior to start date. This position is primarily responsible for overseeing all inpatient and outpatient occupational therapy evaluations and treatments and will manage their own caseload. This position could be either part time or full time for the candidate who is self-driven and motivated to build the OT program. This position will have varying hours Monday through Friday, with no weekends or holidays.

Physical Therapist — Full Time⬇️

Norton County Hospital has immediate opening for full-time outpatient Physical Therapist to join our health care team. Applicants must be able to obtain Kansas licensure and have graduated from an accredited program. Experienced and new graduates are encouraged to apply. Norton County Hospital is a 25-bed critical access hospital with a progressive rehab department that is constantly evolving to meet the needs of our regional community. Applicants will be joining a busy outpatient department staffed by two other full-time PTs, an OT, and two PTAs who places high value on quality of care. Interest in continued education in Women's Health physical therapy is preferred but not necessary to apply. Specialty Clinic Nurse (LPN or RN) - Full Time⬇️

Norton County Hospital has a full time opportunity available for an LPN or RN to join our healthcare team in our Specialty Clinic/Outpatient Services Department. Must have current Kansas LPN or RN license and have or obtain required certification including BLS and ACLS (for RN). This position is Monday through Friday, 36+hours per week, 8:00am to 4:30pm most days. Schedule may vary based on outpatient services or specialty clinics.

Primary responsibilities include but limited to:

  • Communicate and coordinate with visiting Specialists and their offices and staff.
  • Schedule patients according to the visiting staff’s schedules.
  • Answer phone calls if Outpatient Manager is unavailable.
  • Room patients, obtain vital signs, and review medication lists with patients, may help to enter this information into the computer.
  • Preparation of patient records for Specialty clinics.
  • Ordering and restocking of clinic supplies and medications.
  • Calling in prescriptions as ordered from Specialists during clinic.
  • Communicate and coordinate with ancillary staff for ordered testing.
  • May be asked to assist physician with procedures or with injections.
  • Prior authorizations.

Qualifications:

  • LPN or RN
  • BLS attained, ACLS preferred for RN

Dietary Position - Evening, Part Time⬇️

Norton County Hospital has a part-time employment opportunity in our dietary department. Regular shift hours are 4:00 pm to 7:30 pm, 3 to 4 days per week with alternating weekends and holidays. This position assists with preparing supper and cleaning the kitchen and dining area.

Housekeeping & Laundry - Full Time or Part Time⬇️

Norton County Hospital has a full time or part time employment opportunity in our Environmental Services department. Environmental Services staff are responsible for cleaning all areas of the hospital, clinic and facilities. The full time position is scheduled 8 hour shifts and has rotating weekend and holiday schedules which include differential pay. Full time position may have the opportunity to train in laundry as well. Most shifts are 6:30am to 3:00pm. Part time shifts will vary.
